The police in the municipality of Moncada distributed a video on the X social network, in which it is seen how participants in the rescue operations greeted the news that the head of civil defense in Valencia gave them with thunderous applause.
The woman spent three days trapped in her car, south of the city of Valencia. According to the “Provincias” newspaper, the body of her stepsister, who did not survive, was also in the car.
Rescuers heard the woman’s screams while pulling cars stuck in a tunnel in the municipality of Benetucher. She was taken to hospital to be examined, but details of her condition are currently being released.
According to the latest government figures, the number of flood victims has reached 211.
