The 23-year-old woman was identified by authorities as Danezja Kilpatrick. According to The New York Post newspaper, when questioned about the crime, she told the police: “I couldn’t take it anymore.”

In fact, it was the same mother who took to the authorities where the girl’s body was in the house. Police officers went to the house after relatives alerted the 911 emergency number that they had not heard from the mother and the babies.

Prosecutors in the case revealed that the woman gave the twins milk disinfectant, then poured boiling water on them. Then, seeing that the boy was still alive, she ended up stabbing him in the back of the head herself.

The woman, who had no criminal record, is currently in police custody and must appear before the Court on May 21.

According to reports, under New York law, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
