Hong Kong coach Cheun Kin Fung is in favor Indonesia Under 20 national team of Vietnam to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup U-20 finals.
Kin Fung said Indonesia and Vietnam are both good teams. However, the factor of playing in front of the public itself made Garuda Nusantara one of the favorites to qualify through the Group F winner for the 2023 Asian Cup qualifier.
“It is difficult to say who will be at the top of the final standings. Both teams are equally good. The Indonesian U-20 and the Vietnamese national teams are both of good quality and level,” said Kin Fung after the Hong Kong defeat 5- 1 of the National Indonesia U-20.

“However, if I had to pick one I would prefer Indonesia. Being the host is an advantage. Still it was a good match and I am looking forward to playing Indonesia again,” he continued.
The Indonesian U-20 and Vietnamese national teams will play a decisive match to contend for the position of champion in Group F. So far the U-20 national team is at the top of the table after winning over Hong Kong.
Shin Tae Yong’s team has the right to top the table despite having the same number of points and goal difference as Vietnam. This is because Marselino Ferdinand and his friends have good relations on the discipline because they have fewer yellow cards.
The Indonesian Under 20 national team has only collected two yellow cards so far. Meanwhile, Vietnam has received three yellow cards in the two games played.
The fight for tickets to the 2023 Asian Cup U-20 finals with Group F winners status will still be determined in the final match when the Indonesian U-20 national team meets Vietnam at GBT Stadium on Sunday (18 / 9).
