Edi Sanjaya (29), a mall cleaning service in North Jakarta has become a public concern because of his honest actions. Edi was given wads of money by Hotman Paris after returning the wallet containing IDR 70 million.
The discovery of Hotman’s wallet falling occurred on Wednesday (22/3) at around 08.00 WIB. At that time Edi was doing his routine as usual.
“Hotman Paris’s car parked in front, after that he got off. After that, my routine returned to normal. It didn’t take long for me to look back, see what was left there. After that, I immediately ran, immediately arrived at Bang Hotman Paris,” said Edi.
For Edi’s actions, Hotman Paris called Edi a god. Hotman said that initially Edi had refused the reward offered after returning the wallet.
“Automatically I took one or two sheets at that time and I handed it to him at that time, and again the soul of the god came out again. He didn’t want to accept it, ‘thank you sir,’ he didn’t want to. He left, just went,” said Hotman in the same location.
When he wanted to leave the mall, Hotman still saw Edi working. He then forced Edi back to accept the compensation money.
“About half an hour later, I wanted to go out and get in my car to see that he was still there. That’s when I called him. That’s when I gave him the money sheet. He still didn’t want it, even though I forced him, he finally wanted it, even if it was a little bit,” he said.
Now Edi is given wads of money
Hotman Paris gave a wad of money to Edi. The money was given after Hotman and Andrew met Edi where he worked at a mall in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.
Hotman said that the money was not meant to be arrogant.
“This doesn’t mean anything, you know. We don’t mean to be famous, I mean to be famous. It’s true. I want to give an example to the public because there are too many hypocrites nowadays,” said Hotman.
To note, Andrew Susanto is a business partner of Hotman. At first, Edi refused to give the wad of money. Edi said that he sincerely returned Hotman’s wallet.
“But I’m sincere for Bang Hotman,” said Edi.
“Yes, I’m also sincere, ha-ha-ha…,” said Andrew.
Because Edi still refused, Hotman then forced Edi to put the wad of money in his pocket. Edi also obeyed Hotman’s orders.
“Here, put it in first (insert money). Rejected again, yesterday you also refused my money. Here, I’ll put it in,” said Hotman as he put money into Edi’s pocket.
But Hotman was reluctant to mention the nominal amount he gave. He only mentioned that the money was given by Andrew.
“My business partner, Andrew, has already given him money. Because of his (Andrew’s) money, mine is the same. There’s no need to divulge the exact numbers. Anyway, it’s thick, enough for how many years of his salary,” said Hotman.
