NEW YORK.- The political movementThe homeland with Abel” who supports the aspirations of the presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), deplored the pronouncements of two comrades who advocate that the candidate cede his aspirations to Gonzalo Castillo.
“We deplore the statement of comrade Charlie Taveras, who said that Abel Martinezmust cede the presidential candidacy to compañero Gonzalo Castillo”, expressed Santos Acevedo on behalf of the movement.
He said that it is a lack of respect for the work that compañero Abel Martínez has been doing.
“At this point that the candidacy of Abel Martínez is, coming out with this position is a bit out of focus from the reality of the historical moment that the Dominican Republic is experiencing,” Acevedo said.
He argued that “Comrade Charlie must rectify such an approach and continue working so that Abel Martínez is the president of all Dominicans in 2024.”
