Fredrik Berne, 49, was charged with gross violation of women’s peace, but when he was sentenced by the district court in February last year, it was instead of gross violation of peace.
The Court of Appeal also convicts Berne of gross breach of the peace and they further write that the penalty value corresponds to a prison sentence of just over a year. But that the sentence is reduced to ten months when they have taken into account that Fredrik Berne’s medical license is also still suspended.

Fredrik Berne, who is also called “Dr Plastik”, has always denied the accusations, and claimed throughout the investigation that they were made up. After the district court’s verdict, his lawyer stated, Magnus Johanssonthat his client was “extremely disappointed”.

It was an on and off relationship for a long time. Stoppa Pressarna has been a news leader in the love trips around the beauty-treated Åsa Vesterlund, 50, and her plastic surgeon “Dr Plastik”.

Åsa Vesterlund lived for periods with Fredrik Berne in his home in Hovås but sometimes went to the USA or Piteå and spent time there. They agree that at the time of all the alleged acts they were a couple.
When the Hollywood wife told Stoppa Pressarna that she had left “Dr Plastik”, she did not state the real reason. In the judgment of the district court and in the court of appeal, it is established that Åsa Vesterlund has been both abused and controlled by Fredrik Berne for a long time.

It was after Åsa Vesterlund had a cosmetic procedure done by the plastic surgeon that their relationship began. At first, Fredrik Berne was loving and everything felt good.
Over time, however, the relationship changed into something completely different. He became jealous and controlling. And violent.
Åsa Vesterlund decided to report Fredrik Berne to the police and on the last of May 2022 he was charged with gross violation of women’s privacy, consisting of five cases of assault.
He was accused, among other things, of kicking Åsa Vesterlund, dragging her across the floor and whipping her in the face with a sequined dress.

The Court of Appeal lowers the sentence
The district court in Gothenburg convicted him of gross breach of the peace. The sentence was one year in prison – now it is reduced to ten months in prison by the Court of Appeal.
Fredrik Berne has consistently denied all accusations, he believes that Åsa Vesterlund is lying.

Fredrik Berne has suggested that Åsa Vesterlund is lying for attention or for revenge, a claim that the district court does not attach any weight to.
