Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper has come up with surprising news. He struggled with drug addiction early in his career, reports the Daily Mail.
While visiting the podcast “Smartless”, the actor revealed that he had struggled with a severe cocaine addiction early in his career.
The addiction came to him at a time when he had already gained some popularity.
Early in his career, the actor starred in the series “Alias”. He was successful in the first two seasons (2001-2003). He was one of the main actors, but in the third season he became the only guest actor. He appeared in the series very rarely.
Cooper admits that this had a profound effect on his self-esteem and contributed to drug and alcohol problems.
“I was so lost and I was addicted to cocaine,” the actor said.
Bradley admitted that he was lucky that his drug addiction was when he was relatively young and was still developing his acting career.
“I was completely depressed,” Cooper said.
The turn of the actor’s life took place in 2005, when he took the lead role in the film “Uninvited Guests” and in 2009 he played the lead role in the film “Hangover”. These films helped Bradley “revive” his career and quit his addictions.
