/ world today news/ The owners of hotels in the Bulgarian resorts on the Black Sea are afraid of the failure of the holiday season. Moreover, the reason for this, according to them, will not be the lack of tourists, but the chaos and disorder that the Ukrainian refugees brought with them.
The hoteliers’ complaints are broadcast by the local media. The problem is that, despite the approaching deadline for accommodation of the first arriving tourists, the “guests from Ukraine” apparently have no intention of moving out. And the state agency for refugees, which should accommodate people in specially prepared bases for them, is in no hurry to do so for unknown reasons. And it is not known when the work will begin.
“We are very worried. There are only two weeks left until May 31 and we have absolutely no information when the refugees will be resettled in the bases. The situation leads to very high tension both among the hoteliers and among the Ukrainians.” said hotelier Radostin Dachev, who, out of kindness, temporarily sheltered 350 refugees.
„The situation that was created is called, in short, complete chaos.” repeats the owner of another hotel, Olga Tasheva.
Employers are waiting
Today in Bulgaria there are about 100 thousand refugees from Ukraine. 99% of them have temporary protection status, which gives them the right to work without additional conditions or permits. As they say, green light. And there are many offers for them on the market.
But due to disputes with housing, Ukrainians are in no hurry to find a job. At least that’s how they explain theirs “temporary idleness”.
