Czech Television broadcast the most popular program again this Christmas, making it the most watched of all domestic TV stations in the past three days. Both during the day and during prime time, when it was watched by more than half of the viewers who had their television on at the time.
The premiere of the Christmas fairy tale enjoyed the highest audience How not to marry a princess, which has so far been seen by three and a quarter million viewers over the age of four (live on TV and delayed on TV and on the Internet). It thus became not only the most watched show of the year on all televisions, but also the fourth most watched Christmas fairy tale since the beginning of audience measurement in 1997. .

The all-day share of Czech Television in the audience was 51.42%, and 61.71% in prime time, which is the second most successful prime-time result on Christmas Day in the history of audience measurement.
The following two holidays were the most watched of both parts of the fairy tale Angel of the Lord. The first part was seen on December 25 by a total of 2.39 million people over the age of four, and its sequel was not missed by over 2.03 million viewers the next day. At the same time, on the second holiday of Christmas, ČT achieved the second best result in terms of viewership – within the whole day and in prime time, with a share of 43.86% and 45.24%, respectively. In addition to fairy tales for spectators, the classic films How to Pull a Whale’s Chair, Vesničko má středisková and How to Get Dad to a Rehabilitation Center also scored points for both days. The Christmas message of the President of the Republic Miloš Zeman was also watched, which was watched by 1.05 million people out of a total of 1.5 million on the CT screens alone, who watched it on all TV stations yesterday.
Czech Television broadcasts dominated all three days of the list of the most watched programs. On Christmas Day, the ČT1 program dominated all ten first places, and on the first and second Christmas holidays, nine and eight ČT programs, respectively, were among the ten most watched. The total share of the audience during these three days was 46.88% and in the main broadcast time even 51.37%, which is one of the highest values since the beginning of the measurement in 1997.
