New Delhi: A six-year-old boy and his grandfather were killed after the truck that hit them was dragged for two kilometers. The incident took place in Mahaba in Uttar Pradesh. Udit Narayan Chansoria (67) and his grandson Satvik were going to the market on a scooter when they were hit by a speeding truck. Udit Narayan died instantly. The truck dragged Satvik and Scooter for two kilometers.
The accident happened on the Kanpur-Sagar highway (NH86). The video of the incident is widely circulated on social media. It can be seen in the footage that other bikes on the road are trying to bring the incident to the attention of the driver. Later, the truck driver stopped the vehicle when passers-by piled stones on the road and blocked it.
He was beaten up by the locals. The police seized the truck and took the driver into custody.
