Fashion expert and celebrity stylist Miranda Holder, who goes by the username @themirandaholder on TikTok, revealed that the tiara is very heavy and can cause headaches due to the many pearls and jewels. She noted that Princess Diana had sneezed more than once during her life, that the beautiful ornament, which was her favorite, caused severe headaches and migraines afterwards.
The celebrity stylist explained: “Obviously because it’s so heavy, she [Diāna] used to get terrible headaches wearing this tiara.”
The tiara is also said to be very ‘noisy’, as the many beads swinging make a slight clink with every movement of the head.
However, similar to Princess Diana, Catherine does not let these inconveniences and “side effects” stop her from wearing beautiful jewelry. The wedding of the Crown Prince of Jordan was the first time that Princess Catherine had been seen outside the UK with the tiara in her hair.
The Princess of Wales wasn’t the only member of the British royal family to attend Crown Prince Hussein’s wedding wearing a tiara. Princess Beatrice also chose a tiara for the evening banquet. This was only the second time that Beatrice was seen with a tiara in her hair. The first time was at her wedding, when Beatrice was lent her wedding tiara by her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
On the other hand, Princess Beatrice arrived at the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein wearing her mother’s wedding tiara. In 1986, it was bought and presented to Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, by her husband’s parents – Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
