The board of the Hiiumaa region of the center party decided to nominate Tanel Kiige as the chairman candidate for the party’s extraordinary congress that will be held in September. Hiiumaa region chairman Antti Leigri said that Tanel Kiik is capable of bringing the party back into the government and shouldering the prime minister’s responsibility.
The Hiiumaa regional board of the center party unanimously decided to support Tanel Kiike as a candidate for party chairman. Tanel Kiik has shown his commitment to Estonia, successfully carried the minister’s answer in difficult times in the Government of the Republic, thus showing his great ability to work, wisdom and decisiveness. “Tanel Kiik is a strong actor with a nationwide reach, who considers regional politics, that is, the development of our country in every part of Estonia, important,” said Antti Leigri.
Triin Varek, Maria Jufereva-Skuratovski, Ester Tuiksoo, Taavi Aas, Jaak Aab, Jaanus Karilaid, Andre Hanimägi, Enn Eesmaa and Jüri Ratas were nominated as candidates for the board of the Central Party.
The extraordinary congress of the Center Party will be held on September 10 in the E-Piima sports hall in Paide. The chairman of the party, members of the board of the party, members of the revision committee and the chairman of the court of honor are elected. More than 1,000 delegates are expected in Paide.
