AROUND SURABAYA – The company Samsung Electronics has reportedly decided to stop production of the Galaxy Note series smartphones.
Samsung itself has confirmed that the Galaxy Note series smartphones are excluded from the annual smartphone production plan, starting in 2022.
Apparently, the main reason Samsung removed its Note series smartphones was the increased production of foldable smartphones.
Launching from GSM Arena, Samsung’s sales statistics revealed that the Galaxy Note10 and Note20 lineups received around 12.7 and 9.7 million orders in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics’ annual shipment target for next year’s Galaxy Z Fold series is 13 million, exceeding the Galaxy Note series.

So, if Samsung sees an uptrend in foldable phone orders and a drop in Note sales, it makes sense to replace the Note with the Flip and Fold.
Therefore, starting next year, there will be no products produced under the Galaxy Note name.
In contrast, the ‘ultra’ model of the S series smartphones that will be launched next year will most likely replace the Galaxy Note series product concept.
