The name of Bedros Kirkorov was known throughout the USSR. The talented musician conquered the whole country, performing with the orchestras of Eddie Rosner, Leonid Utyosov and other famous musicians. And until now, Kirkorov Sr. is considered one of the most talented musicians in the Soviet Union, but not everyone knows the real name of a celebrity.
The fact is that Bedros comes from an Armenian family. But fate brought him to Bulgaria, where he was forced to give up his real name. So, at the birth of the artist, the name was Petros Pilibos Kirkorian, but in Bulgarian society he was renamed Bedros Kirkorov, so as not to draw attention to his pedigree.
For many years, the artist, like his son, hid his roots and claimed that their family was from Bulgaria. However, not so long ago, they nevertheless confessed and told the whole truth to the fans.
