The Department opens its doors to college students! Due to the health crisis, third-grade college students have struggling to find internships in company. And even if the national education made them optional, many parents still hope that their child will be able to carry out this first experience in business.
To help them, the Hérault department has decided to create an online platform dedicated to 3rd year internships. More than 130 internship offers within the institution are referenced there. Children will be able to discover a wide range of professions there: social worker, nurse or doctor, educator, engineer, naturalist, lawyer, librarian, foresters, secretary or cultural mediator …
Every year, 3rd year students discover the professional world during a one-week observation internship. This step is particularly important, because it allows them to discover a profession, to gain confidence and to prepare their orientation.
How to apply
The whole process is dematerialized, and four stages are offered to college students and their families:
- Choose an internship offer by checking the place and the possible date for this internship.
- Check with your college for the possibility of doing this internship over the desired period.
- Send your internship request to the Department, by email only (contact details specified in each internship offer).
- The services of the Department will contact the student again in the following days in order to finalize the internship agreement as well as the reception arrangements.
