At Hennessey Performance, cars with brutally high performance are regularly created. One of the most interesting ones is currently heading to the Czech Republic. And you will be able to buy it.
That car is the Hennessey Exorcist, i.e. a significantly modified Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which the American manufacturer introduced in April 2017. At that time, it also announced the production of only 100 examples – and they continue to this day. The “Evil Exorcist” is therefore still available to order as a new car at Hennessey Performance.
The most important change over the standard Camaro ZL1 is the substantial increase in engine power. Under the hood, there is still a 6.2-liter turbocharged LT4 eight-cylinder engine, but it produces 746 kW instead of 485 kW. So 1014 horses! The modifier achieved higher performance by replacing the aforementioned compressor and other modifications.
Other numbers look amazing too. The eight-cylinder, connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, provides maximum power at 6,500 rpm, the highest torque of 1,310 Nm is available at 4,500 rpm. Acceleration from rest to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) takes just 2.1 seconds, according to Hennessey, and the muscle car completes the quarter mile in 9.57 seconds. At the same time, he will pass the goal at a speed of 236.6 km/h. The maximum speed is 349 km/h.
One specimen is currently transported to the Czech Republic by Unitesta, which is already offering it on its website for a price of CZK 5,916,900. The car is black and will offer, for example, LED headlights, 20-inch black wheels, infotainment with an 8-inch display, head-up display, leather interior, two-zone automatic air conditioning, heated and ventilated front seats or a 360° camera system.
