Wound – Hugo takes care of Mercè, a newborn child, and with the help of his slave Barcha he manages to obtain important awards in the world of wine until he is appointed director of the Roger Puig cellar, responsible together with his family for the murder of Arnau Estanyol. Hugo and Regina start a relationship although she is already married and he has promised himself to the host’s daughter.
Slaves – Hugo passes information to Bernat to try to ruin Roger Puig thanks to Regina, who writes the letters. She then threatens Hugo: if he marries the tavernkeeper’s daughter, she will make public her betrayal of Roger Puig. The woman then gets a job at the palace as a servant to Roger Puig’s wife.
Beatriz – The king is dead and the new king has appointed Bernat admiral of the Navy; he, upon his arrival in Barcelona, takes his revenge against Roger Puig. Bernat and Mercè, Hugo’s daughter, marry and become the parents of a child. Years later, Mercè disappears and Hugo sets out on her trail. Hugo discovers that Mercè is the daughter of a nun of the Jonqueres convent, where her sister was a novice.
