The second heat wave of summer does not let up and intensifies this Thursday with temperatures that will reach 45 degreesas reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), which has warned of very high values in most of the Peninsula and Mallorca, with warnings for sweltering heat in all the autonomous communities, except in the Canary Islands.
They are in red warning (extreme risk) for extremely high highs which will oscillate between 42 and 45 degrees Andalusia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia and Extremadura.
Andalusia maintains the red level in Seville, for values up to 44 degrees in the Sevillian countryside. In Cádiz, Jaén, Granada, Huelva and Córdoba the orange level continues (significant risk) due to maximums between 39 and 43 degrees in the Cordoba and Cádiz countryside, Pedroche, Guadalquivir valley, Genil basin, Cazorla, Huelva coast and in the regions of Andévalo, Condado and Aracena. In this community, in addition, the high temperatures have made it exceed the historical record of maximum hourly demand reached in 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., when 7,360 MWh were consumed. Now, electricity consumption has been 7.5% higher.
Castilla y León has activated the red alert in the southern part of the provinces of Avila and Salamanca for very high values that will rise up to 42 degrees. The rest of the provinces are in orange due to highs between 39 and 41 degrees.
In Castilla-La Mancha, only the province of Toledo continues with a red warning in the Tagus Valley, with special intensity in the Talavera de la Reina region, where the Aemet has warned of highs even higher than 44 degrees. Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Guadalajara continue in orange for values between 39 and 41 degrees.

In Catalonia, Lleida will be on orange notice and Barcelona, Girona and Tarragona on yellow notice. In Extremadura, Badajoz and Cáceres, they will be in red notice, while Galicia, Ourense in red notice, A Coruña and Pontevedra will be in orange notice and Lugo in yellow notice. The high temperatures will also put Álava, Guipúzcoa and Vizcaya, in the Basque Country, at risk this Thursday; at significant risk to La Rioja; and at significant risk to Valencia and at risk to Alicante, in the Valencian Community.

Very high temperatures in a large part of the peninsula and Mallorca
Little cloudy skies will prevail in most of the country and only some intervals of low clouds are expected on the northwest coast of the peninsula, Ampurdán, Ceuta, Melilla and the north of the Canary Islands.
Intervals of medium and high clouds are also expected in the western third of the peninsula, as well as some cloudiness of daytime evolution in the interior of the peninsula, with the probability of some showers or isolated storms in mountainous areas of the northwest.
It is probable some haze in the peninsular northwest and in the eastern Canaries. There may be coastal fog in the north of Galicia, western Asturias and the surroundings of Melilla.
The heat wave leaves a night of extreme temperatures and insomnia
Las maximum temperatures will rise in the southwest of Galicia and in decline in the Cantabrian area, with few changes in the rest and also in the minima, with ascents predominating.
Cádiz and A Coruña will be at risk due to coastal phenomena, since intervals of strong wind from the east are expected in the Strait and from the northeast in the north of Galicia, with a predominance of wind from the northwest in the Ebro and from the east in the western Cantabrian Sea, the North plateau, the east of the South plateau and Mediterranean area; trade winds in the Canary Islands and variable light wind in the rest.

Facing the Saturday, there is no longer a red warning for heat in any Spanish provincebut the orange level is maintained in much of the interior of the peninsula (Castilla y León, La Rioja, Aragón and Extremadura) although the heat will subside in the southeast and in Andalusia there is a yellow warning in all provinces, except in Seville, Córdoba, Jaén and Huelva.
