More bad news on the eve of Passover: Reserve Lieutenant General Yanon Arak was killed on Saturday evening in a car accident while traveling while performing his duties at the Southern Command. Yanon left behind a wife and nine children. A deserter served in the reserves non-stop since the day of the massacre on the seventh of October.

“Yenon always had a smile”
The head of the Mount Hebron Council, Eliram Azoulai, gave a eulogy: “It is with a heavy heart that we were informed on Saturday evening of the fall of Yanon Arak, a resident of the Tana Omer settlement. Yanon was an athlete and a swimmer, and made it a profession to empower children, youth and adults. Always with a smile. A connecting and significant figure in the Tana Omer settlement and such will remain in the hearts of all of us.” The funeral of the late Yanon will take place today (Sunday) at 1:00 PM in the military section of the cemetery in Mitar settlement.
