The observation is well known: the health of children in the care of social assistance for children (ASE) is poorer than that of children in general, yet their health care is deficient, incomplete, or parents do, either because of the “choppy” paths within the ASE. Faced with this observation, the law of March 14, 2016 on the protection of the child made it compulsory to carry out a health check-up at the start of the protection measure, then once a year.
