Health Minister Ali Mrabet asked to determine the country’s needs in the supply of drugs to rationalize spending.
Speaking during a working session held yesterday, Friday at the headquarters of the ministry, to deepen the reality of the pharmaceutical sector, in the presence of the representative of the Presidency of the Republic in charge of the national security file and various officials of the ministry, Mrabet underlined the the need to overcome the obstacles hindering the promotion of local industry, as well as to put in place mechanisms to strengthen cooperation and partnership with international laboratories.
On this occasion, the Pharmacy and Medicines Unit of the Ministry of Health gave an overview of the reality of the pharmaceutical sector in terms of governance. On this occasion, emphasis was placed on the importance of local production, industrial cooperation and the export of medicines, with the presentation of possible solutions for the development of the sector.
The Minister of Health also spoke with the president of the National Chamber of Pharmacists in the wholesale distribution of medicines and with the team that accompanies her, about the problems that the sector is suffering from and the possible solutions at a structural and organizational level with the various ministries and structures concerned.
The Minister of Health called for the need to support this vital sector in order to develop common solutions at the service of the sector, so as to promote and bring services closer to citizens.
