The Health Insurance Authority revealed the details of the treatment protocol for people living with Coronavirus in home isolation, and the Health Insurance Authority said that the home isolation treatment bags include:
1- One tablet twice a day, 400 mg of hydroxychloroquine, or one tablet twice a day for 6 days, of 200 mg.
2- 6 tablets, once in the first, fourth and sixth days or ivemectin
3- One tablet twice in the first day, 1600 mg, or one tablet twice daily or favipravir
4- Vitamin C, a 500 mg tablet every 12 hours for 10 days.
5- Vitamin Zinc, 50 mg tablet every 24 hours for 10 days.
6- One tablet of Paratamol 1000 mg every 8 hours.
7- One sachet of Cysteine 200 mg for 10 days.
8- One sachet of la ketoferrin twice daily for 10 days.
It is noteworthy that all medicines are provided free of charge to beneficiaries of health insurance services, free of charge, from the authority’s hospitals.
And the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 754 recoverers from the Corona virus had been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 117529 cases as of Friday.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 1001 new cases that proved positive in laboratory analyzes of the virus were registered, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures conducted by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 56 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Friday, is 147810 cases, including 117,529 cases that have been cured, and 8,085 deaths.
