A story about a driver who is confused because he doesn’t know which way to go. One of them is a health worker (Nakes) who will go to work on the afternoon ship at a hospital in Surabaya.
Many health workers tried to negotiate with the officers, but to no avail. The health workers are treated the same as other residents who will enter the city of Surabaya.
“I’m a health nurse, sir. I want to go to work to treat patients,” said a female health worker, a hospital nurse who hoped to be allowed to cross the city of Surabaya.

However, despite whining for help. Health workers are still not allowed to cross and are advised to use alternative routes, such as through Menggal Surabaya or through the Korem.
Because it was not allowed, the health worker of Darmo Surabaya Hospital, LU Herawati, who worked in the general department, was crying. He hopes to be given a way because he has an obligation to feed sick patients at his workplace.
“Then where should I go. I have to feed sick patients,” said Herawati, shedding tears.
Because it was still not allowed, Herawati and other colleagues chose to find an alternative route even though they did not know where she was. He left disappointed.

It is known, starting today, access to the city of Surabaya is completely closed, Wednesday (07/07/2021). All vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled, were ordered to turn around.
This happened at the city entrance at the Waru roundabout in front of Cito Mall. As observed by SuaraJatim.id, the entrance to Surabaya was closed using a road separator.
A number of officers also appeared to direct motorists not to enter the city. They seemed to be asking the drivers to turn back towards Sidoarjo.
This closure causes heavy and long traffic jams at the waru roundabout. There has been no official confirmation from the police and Surabaya City government officials regarding this closure.
The truck driver named Cak Rus admitted that he had tried three times to enter Surabaya through different accesses. But the result was the same, a number of officers seemed to be on guard and asked him to turn back.
“I was told to turn around. I tried to go in three times and couldn’t get in, I couldn’t take an alternative route,” said the driver, who admitted that he wanted to enter Surabaya and intended to pick up goods.
Previously, since July 3, 2021, the City of Surabaya implemented an Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM). The previous day a number of motorists were still allowed to enter on condition that they brought swab and vaccine results.
However, starting today, since this morning access to the city of Surabaya has been completely closed. Is Surabaya on lockdown? There has been no official confirmation from the police and the local city government.
