The head of Ukrainian intelligence: In the spring, there will be a turning point on the front

Another Russian offensive in Ukraine has already begun, but it is so poor quality that it is almost imperceptiblesaid in an interview with Forbes-Ukraine Kiril Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense (GUR).

“It goes on in such a way that not everyone even notices it – it is an offensive of such quality. They have a strategic task – to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by March 31Budanov says.

According to Budanov Russia, given the country’s population, has no problems with recruitment. But the majority of those who reach the front are untrained and poorly equipped mobilized, fighting in Kamaz and Ural trucks.

Several times in an interview, the head of GUR repeated that Russia is not the Soviet Union, it does not have the military potential and the capabilities of the military-industrial complex that the Russian authorities claim.

For one missile attack on Ukraine, Russia uses more missiles than it can produce, Budanov claims. The same, in his words, applies to all other types of weapons and ammunition.

According to the head of Ukrainian intelligence decisive battles will take place in the second half of spring and then there will be a turning point on the front.

He refrained from making specific predictions, but said that two main factors contributed to Ukraine’s victory: it was fighting on its own territory and the entire civilized world was on its side.

We remind you that until spring Ukraine awaiting the delivery of main battle tanks from its Western allies – mostly German “Leopard 2” tanks, for the use of which Ukrainian soldiers are already being trained in Poland.
