The head of the Xbox brand criticizes Sony’s approach to PC. Phil Spencer says bluntly: they make people buy equipment

Phil Spencer decided to comment on the recent moves of Sony, which are increasingly eager to throw their games on the PC. However, the head of the Xbox brand saw a great difference – the Japanese do it after many years and, in his opinion, are forcing players to buy consoles.

Microsoft has already opened to the PC market years ago and offers Xbox and PC players its games on the premiere days. Thanks to this, interested parties from various platforms can wait for Starfield and Halo Infinite, among others.

Sony is also more and more willing to offer its games for PC, but in this case the situation is different – the head of PlayStation Studios confirmed that PlayStation 4 items will debut on personal computers after some time (years).

The head of the Xbox brand decided to comment on this situation:

“So at the moment we are the only platform sending games to the console, PC and the cloud at the same time. Others bring console games to PC years later, not only forcing people to buy hardware upfront, but then charging them money a second time so they can play on PC. “

Phil Spencer also saw Sony’s decisions regarding offering PC games without the option of transferring production from PlayStation to personal computers. When customers of a Japanese corporation want to play, for example, Days Gone on a PC, they have to buy the item a second time – full cross-buy works on the Xbox and PC.

It is worth recalling that Xbox Game Pass will go directly to TVs. Microsoft has confirmed big plans today.
