The director general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Gebreyesus, visited Kyiv on Saturday, where he said the WHO was behind the Ukrainians in the conflict with Russia and called on Moscow to stop the war against its neighbor, Reuters reported.
Speaking from the government’s press office in Kyiv, he said: “My message to the entire people of Ukraine is this: The WHO is behind you.”
WHO Emergency Director Mike Ryan told the same news conference that the WHO has already documented 200 attacks on healthcare facilities in Ukraine and will pass on its findings to those who can judge whether crimes have been committed.
