Ischgl – The Tyrolean winter sports metropolis of Ischgl, which hit the negative headlines during the corona pandemic, has apparently not suffered any long-term damage, at least in terms of advertising. “We had the value examined. We would have had to spend more than two billion euros if we had wanted to be in the newspapers so often. In retrospect, it doesn’t matter that the reporting was negative,” said the chairman of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourist Association, Alexander von der Thannen, the “Tiroler Tageszeitung”.
