UK Health Minister Sajid Javid has tested positive for coronavirus despite receiving two shots with the AstraZeneca vaccine. On Saturday, July 17, reports Sky News.
At the same time, Javid noted that he has “mild” symptoms of the disease.
“I tested positive for COVID this morning. I am awaiting the PCR results, but luckily I have been vaccinated and the symptoms are mild. Please be sure to ask for the vaccine if you have not already,” Javid tweeted.
Javid developed symptoms just three days after visiting a nursing home in south London.
British media also noted that Javid met with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday.
Javid received his first AstraZeneca vaccine on March 17, and his second on May 16.
