“There has been a trend towards a shortage of 95 gasoline. This is due to the repairs that we carried out at the Shymkent petrochemical plant, as well as the emergency shutdown of the Atyrau plant. Now the required volume has been accumulated at oil depots and factories, this type of fuel is being shipped in accordance with applications akimats. Yes, in areas where there is an increased volume of consumption, failures are possible. The deficit will be covered by domestic supplies,” the official said.

Speaking about possible speculations against the background of the shortage, Satkaliyev recalled that AI-95 is an unregulated type of fuel, and tankers have the right to raise prices. At the same time, the Ministry of Energy is working to prevent a sharp rise in prices.

“We, as the Ministry of Energy, can make recommendations in terms of the price indicator. We are doing this work both with product owners and with enterprises that own filling stations in order to prevent a sharp increase in the price of this type of fuel,” the minister said.
