The head of the intensive COVID ward at UMHAT “Queen Joanna” – ISUL Dr. Zlatan Tsonchev has died, the medical institution announced.
According to the information of the hospital, Dr. Tsonchev died while he was on shift in another heavy night duty.
“We have lost an anesthesiologist and a neurologist with broad interests, with dedication to patients and colleagues, who have just crossed his 50th birthday,” ISUL said in a statement.
