Regarding the case of the Commune Police Chief being beheaded, on September 20, Binh Tan District Police, Vinh Long Province temporarily detained 14 related teenagers.
Initial information, on the evening of September 18, Le Hoang Kha (17 years old) and a group of friends went to a funeral in Long Ho district, Vinh Long and told his friends about a conflict with another young man in Nguyen Van Thanh commune, Binh Tan district.
After that, Kha invited Nguyen Ngoc Du (15 years old), Huynh Chi Nguyen (17 years old) and many other people carrying weapons to ride together on 11 motorbikes to resolve the conflict.
When going to a coffee shop in Nguyen Van Thanh commune, seeing that Kha’s group was crowded, the other group hid behind the shop. Kha’s group went to provincial road 910B to search.
Receiving the news, Major Le Minh Canh, Head of Commune Police Nguyen Van Thanh, combined with the Commune Military Command, came to the scene to resolve the incident; Major Canh alone arrived at the scene first.
Discovering the police, Kha’s group immediately ran away, but Major Canh promptly captured Kha and Du along with one vehicle. Seeing that the group member was captured, Kha’s group turned around and used knives and sticks to beat Major Canh, then got into the car and escaped.
Major Canh was quickly taken to Military Hospital 121 Can Tho for emergency treatment.
Using professional measures, the Criminal Police Department in coordination with Binh Tan District Police quickly identified the people involved and arrested and confiscated 2 homemade knives and 8 motorbikes.
Initially, 14 teenagers admitted to using dangerous weapons to disrupt public order.
Currently, the police are continuing to expand and clarify the violations of each person to handle them according to regulations.
