Kyiv cannot solve the problem without the delivery of F-16s, as the Russian air force is superior to the Ukrainian air force quantitatively and technologically, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk said.
According to him, Ukraine operates with 40-year-old aircraft, the stocks of parts for which are running low, while the allies do not have them at all, and in addition, Russia controls the Black Sea, reports FAN.
Oleszczuk believes that the F-16s can perform air defense functions, have air-to-air missiles with a range of up to 180 km, and are also made for anti-ship missiles.
Earlier, Ukrainian Major Vadim Voroshilov stated that the radars of modern Russian aircraft are “about four times better” than those of Ukrainian ones, and Russian missiles are significantly better than the “old Soviet ones” that Ukraine has.
We recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, previously spoke about the need to supply fighter jets to the country, but US President Joe Biden ruled out the transfer of F-16s to Kiev.
