Indeed, this meeting which will take place at the National Assembly according to article 109 of the constitution indicates that, “the adoption of any bill or any proposal for the revision of the Constitution by parliamentary means requires the presence of at least two thirds of the members of the two chambers together. The Presidency of the congress is ensured by the President of the National Assembly. The office of the congress is that of the National Assembly».
However, the meeting planned for this purpose comes after the National Assembly and the Senate adopted the bill amending the Constitution, as desired by the Head of State during political consultations with the opposition. Note that the meeting of the Head of State with the parliament tomorrow, Thursday April 6, 2023, will be the second of its kind after that of June 2021.
