A sharp reaction from the head of the National Assembly, Nikola Minchev, provoked a post by Vazrazhdane MP Elena Guncheva, in which she threatened Russian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and US Ambassador Hero Mustafa with a Russian attack.

“Regarding the calls of a Bulgarian MP for an attack with weapons on the Prime Minister and Ambassador accredited in our country, I declare that such statements are unworthy and inadmissible for a member of the Bulgarian National Assembly,” Minchev wrote on the parliament’s Facebook profile.

“The call for violence cannot be justified by anything. All deputies owe respect to high-ranking state officials, as well as to diplomats under Article 29 of the Vienna Convention,” the parliamentary chief said.

The reason for his sharp reaction was a post by Elena Guncheva on March 18.
