Continuing his efforts to deepen international cooperation and promote the peaceful use of space, NASA chief Bill Nelson is visiting Romania and Bulgaria. Both countries have signed the “Artemis” Agreement, defining basic principles for peaceful space exploration, the American embassy in our country announced. Nelson will meet with senior officials from both countries, including Marcel Ciolacu, Prime Minister of Romania, and Rumen Radev, President of Bulgaria.
Nelson will also meet with Dr. Rosen Karadimov, Minister of Innovation and Growth, and visit the country’s only satellite manufacturer, which produces products for various companies worldwide.
During his trips to both countries, Nelson will discuss the importance of international partnerships and cooperation in space, including the transatlantic relationship with NASA. Nelson will also meet with students to highlight the benefits of STEM education and the role of young people as Generation Artemis. NASA uses this definition to describe the next generation of space explorers.
