On September 4, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) Alexei Bogdanov announced a new price regulation system in Belarus. They promised to develop it by the end of this year. According to Bogdanov, the goal of the department is to create a new document “that will ensure fair prices for the good of the state and the people.”
Bogdanov announced the planned transformation of the current price regulation system, which was introduced in Belarus at the end of 2022, at the international forum “Trade Dialogue”, reported BELTA state agency. According to the head of MART, the department intends to submit changes to the government’s resolution No. 713 for consideration by government agencies “soon.” “
“By the end of the year, a new system of price regulation must be developed which will ensure, perhaps without such drastic measures, that the same principles of fair prices as today are observed,” Bogdanov said. , emphasizing that this is not “. an easy task, but it must be accomplished.”
At the same time, the head of MART noted that Resolution No. 713 has already fulfilled its main task – ensuring price regulation and meeting the limits of inflation.
“The public and the industry understand this. In general, we see from the profit of manufacturers and trade that “the fat is cut,” but work is going on. The number of non-profit trade organizations decreased in the first half of the year. Now we have to move on,” said the minister.
According to him, a new document that regulates prices in the country is an “action for the next year” for MART.
As reported by Telegraf.news, the head of MART announced plans to change the state price regulation system in Belarus back in July this year. Bogdanov then promised Belarusians “inflation control,” ensuring that by the end of 2024 this figure would not exceed the planned 6%.
