Scandalous appointments in the bankrupt national railway are reported by sources in the Ministry of Transport. Executive Director Vladimir Vladimirov has appointed 18 people to various posts in passenger and freight transport. The scandalous thing is that the newly appointed employees are not specialists in the field of transport, but football players, their coach and a nurse.
Vladimirov was a big fan of football and for months he had been asking Minister Moskovski for subsidies with which BDZ could support its own football club. Ivaylo Moskovsky was firmly against the idea and recently even raised the tone of Vladimirov, who did not give up his insistence.
After seeing that he would not receive support from the ministry, Vladimir Vladimirov solved the problem himself by appointing the footballers to various positions in the holding. Thus, he guaranteed them monthly wages that were average for the country, and arranged for the ailing railways to have their own football team.
The player’s coach, for example, received a position in the PR and public relations department. Even more scandalous is that the mass appointment happened in a flash in the last two days because on Sunday the team had to travel to Vienna to play in a football match.
After the appointments, the travel will be at the expense of BDZ, as the players will travel for free as its employees. The sources of “Voices” claim that Ivaylo Moskovski was not yet informed about the actions of the executive director of “Holding BDZ” EAD and expect a grandiose scandal between the two, which could end with the resignation of Vladimirov.
