AvtoVAZ President Nikola Mor shared Lada’s plans for next year. He said that in 2022 several new products will enter the market at once, one of which will be made on the conveyor belt of the Izhevsk plant of AvtoVAZ.
The Russian auto giant is planning a major investment in preparing the site for the production of a new model, which Moore said would be a “big surprise”. In all likelihood, we are talking about the updated Vesta – this is the family that Lada Izhevsk produces today.
What other models will appear on the market next year, the top manager did not specify, but promised buyers a “new experience”.
According to him, the quality, features and range of options for new products will be “significantly higher” than those of current Lada cars. We are talking first of all about “connected” services that allow to control some functions of cars from a smartphone: AvtoVAZ calls this service Lada Connect, it appeared in 2018, but is still not well represented. In addition, the Enjoy and Enjoy Pro multimedia systems will reach a “new level”, whatever that means.
According to the previously declassified production plans of AvtoVAZ for next year, the main novelty of Lada will be the restyled version of Vesta FL: mass production is expected to begin on March 1, 2022. The plans include the third generation Logan on the CMF-B LS platform with one-liter turbo engine. The budget sedan will hit the assembly line in May 2022, with sales starting in June.
