The Italian specialist held the position of head coach since the summer of 2022, although the contract was concluded for two years.
“Spezia announces that it has relieved Gotti from the position of head coach of the first team,” the statement read.
Gotti has spent almost his entire coaching career in the post of second coach, including from 2018 to 2019 in the ranks of London “Chelsea”.
In 2019, after serving as an assistant at Udinese, he became head coach, a position he held until December 2021, when he was released due to poor team results.
With 19 points in 22 games, the special team ranks 17th in the 20-club competition and must fight for their place in Serie A in the second half of the season.
