Smiling, surrounded by friends and family, with a glass of wine in hand and a happy soul. This is how it looked like this journalist from Burgas, Ekaterina Kaprova, who presented her third book, but first collection of poems, entitled – “This is between me and God”.
In it, she reveals parts of her heart, shares her secret dreams and, last but not least, reveals to the world her personal spiritual conversations with God.
The beautiful paintings of another of the symbols of Burgas journalism – the editor-in-chief of Darik Radio – Burgas Diana Berdosyan, who impressed everyone with her unique works, contributed to the even more wonderful atmosphere of the event.
The event was also attended by Diana Savateva, Deputy Mayor for Culture and Religion.
The collection of poems was published with the financial support of the Municipality of Burgas and is behind the “Ab” Publishing Studio. The cover was designed by Katya’s son, Nikola.
„I thank the people who believed in me and it is a big part of me to be among you. A man writes poems when his soul is not well. When he doesn’t feel satisfied and happy. That is why this collection of poems is small. Mostly because my soul is happy. I have everything I need in this world – friends, loved ones, family and more. What more could one ask for? Sometimes we wonder why things happen to us. I have friends who have a hard life and sometimes I think, “If only I could catch whoever writes these ‘scripts'”! This book is a way for me to tell the universe to treat the people around me better because… I’m going to write poems about it. Words are a scary thing and they stay” shared the smiling author.
The editor of the “Ab” Publishing Studio, Ana Boyanova, also shared her observations on the collection of poems.
“This is original poetry. Verses that have their own look. Ekaterina Kaprova knows how to dress the inanimate in human souls. For her, spring is a capricious girl, and she compares August to a drunken man. It reminds us of the transience of being. She has created her own paradise in which she is comfortable. In her poems, Ekaterina does not ascertain, but delves. Look for causes and effects. Looking for a way out. He often comes to a dead end, but not as a loser, but as a person who will get up and move on. Life is self-giving for her, and she is clearly good at it. Recognizable poetry. This is the poetry of Ekaterina Kaprova” she said.
The other author with a happy soul Diana Bedrosyan also revealed what motivates her in her work.
“I’ve been drawing for a long time. I have no idea how my paintings are judged, but I feel very good when I create. In most cases, indeed, the provocation begins with painful sensations, but ends with a very nice and satisfying result. Diana Savateva is also with us, who is also a wonderful author. She had told me that a work of art is like a child – there is nothing better than creating something and knowing that it is yours. The pleasure afterwards is great. I also feel pleasure when I read Katya’s poems” she shared.
