After many intense years in GFL1 and GFL2, the first men of the Hamburg Huskies are relegated. In recent weeks and months we have evaluated the changed market situation in German football and therefore our orientation and now we are drawing a conclusion.
In the next year we will do without a resource-intensive first men’s team and instead focus on our strengths:
For more than two decades, the Hamburg Huskies have been known far beyond Hamburg’s borders for their excellent youth work. We want to further develop this role for U13, U16 and U19 to continue to be the main address for players of this age in Northern Germany. This includes content design for the Huskies Football Academy, the exact schedule of which we will develop and implement over the next few months with all interested members and stakeholders.
We are delighted that in the coming year we will also offer American football with our well-established second men’s team with a focus on successful football and football training in the Oberliga.
We would like to express our thanks to all the players, staff coaches and partners who in recent years, despite the difficult circumstances and numerous adversities, have always represented the Huskies with heart and soul.
