The Halo Infinite boss has left the project

Chris Lee, the man who has been in charge Halo Infinite in recent years, has withdrawn from the project. He reports this himself Bloomberg this week.

The news follows it much talked about the postponement of the next Halo game, which developer 343 Industries announced in August. In the wake of the delay, Microsoft brought in Halo veterans Joe Staten and Pierre Hintze to get the ship on the right keel, and thus Lee ended up on the bench.

According to Microsoft, Lee is still employed by the company, but as the main character tells Bloomberg, it was time to leave Halo Infinite to others.

– I have retired from Infinite and look forward to new opportunities. I believe in the team and am sure it will deliver a great game and this is the right time to pull me away.

The resignation marks the second time in a little over a year that a Halo Infinite top has thanked itself. Last summer it was the director Tim Longo who disappeared. At the time, Microsoft promised that it would not affect the launch plans for the game, and whether it actually had any impact on the final release, we will probably never know for sure.

Halo Infinite is scheduled to be launched sometime in 2021, but exactly when we do not yet know.
