After complaints from local residents on the edge of the nature reserve near the Hague districts of Segbroek and Scheveningen, a large police action was set up late on Friday evening. Local residents had complained in the past week about fires, furniture destruction and waste left behind.

The area was carefully scoured in joint action with enforcement, foresters and the police in Scheveningen. Several people were stopped. The helicopter provided aerial support in the confusing area.

In De Telegraaf, mayor Klaas Tigelaar of the Hague peripheral municipality called the disturbances “completely inadmissible”. It would be a group of youth who cannot agree with the emergency measures around corona. Neighborhood residents said that it has been unsettled in their village for a long time. Cameras, the mayor said, should put an end to this in the near future.
