The Hague can no longer solve problems in old working-class neighborhoods alone

THE HAGUE – The municipality of The Hague is no longer able to solve the problems in a large number of traditional working-class neighborhoods such as Laak, Transvaal, Rustenburg-Oostbroek and Morgenstond. Government assistance is needed to tackle, for example, overcrowding, undermining, crime, and nuisance on the street. The Hague city council recognizes this in a response to the cry for help from the residents of Laak. Nevertheless, a plan of action for Laak and additional checks and enforcement will be forthcoming shortly.
