In the coming weeks, more refugees will be assigned to the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district. The sports hall of the Faust-Gymnasium Staufen is being prepared accordingly.
Against the backdrop of the binding allocation of refugees to the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district for the coming weeks, the Kirchzarten sports hall and the Staufen Faust-Gymnasium sports hall must be prepared for the reception of Ukrainian war refugees from the end of September and used in mid-October. The district office announced this Tuesday in a press release. The occupation of the hall is currently planned for a period of six months. A total of about ninety people will be accommodated in the hall.
As the communication continues, this step is necessary because the temporary housing under construction in Müllheim and Bötzingen will only be ready for occupation in late autumn / winter and the container buildings ordered for Neuenburg will not be ready until early 2023. on the foreseen places cannot be accelerated as foreseen due to delivery problems and given the lack of craftsmen. In Bad Krozingen alone, the facility is expected to be ready for occupation in two phases in mid-September / early November.
It can be assumed that around 300 war refugees will be assigned to the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district for temporary accommodation by the state of Baden-Württemberg in the coming weeks. In addition to Kirchzarten and Staufen, refugee accommodation must therefore also be examined in other sports halls. At the same time, the district continues to rent vacant properties that can be used quickly, as well as decentralized housing in apartments in close cooperation with the district municipalities.
