Scientists confirmed the positive effects of eating grapes on the gut microbiome and improving public health. The results of this study were published in Scientific Reports.
During the 8-week study period, 29 volunteers of both genders participated in eating grapes 3 times daily for 2 weeks, followed by excluding them from the diet.

The results of the research showed positive changes in the gut microbiome after eating grapes, as these changes were associated with enzyme levels and biological pathways.
Also, this positive effect of grapes affected the state of the heart, colon, brain, and general health indicators.
The intestines contain groups of diverse bacteria that affect health in general.
Beneficial bacteria play an important role in the processes of digesting foods, forming vitamins, and protecting the digestive tract from disease.
On the other hand, harmful bacteria negatively affect the digestive system and increase the risk of diseases.
Through this study, the effect of grapes on improving the balance of the gut microbiome and thus improving overall health was demonstrated.
These findings highlight the importance of including grapes as part of a healthy diet to enhance gut function and maintain the body’s microbiological balance.
