The general strike proclaimed for next December 16 must be rescheduled because it does not respect the “allowance period” envisaged for postal services, for those of environmental hygiene and for services to the community. It also violates the rule of “objective rarefaction”, in practice it is too close to a series of other strikes scheduled for individual sectors.
It is the decision taken today by the Guarantee Commission of the implementation of the law on the strike in essential public services that it writes to CGIL and UIL asking to reformulate the date within five days.
Despite the Commission’s request, CGIL and UIL “confirm the strike
general proclaimed for December 16. They take note of the resolution of the Guarantor on strikes issued today, relating to sector or territorial strikes previously proclaimed, and will proceed ensuring that the strike of 16 will be carried out in full compliance with the rules governing the right to strike in essential public services “.
