In the 11th episode of SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama ‘Ghost’, which aired on the 28th, the process by which Lee Hyang-yi (played by Sim Dal-ki), a demon, developed a grudge was depicted.
On this day’s broadcast, Gu San-yeong (played by Kim Tae-ri) played a demon and found out the name of the demon from Na Byeong-hee (played by Kim Hae-sook).
Yeom Hae-sang and Lee Hong-sae struggled to find the last remaining ‘Jade Hairpin’ among the five items and the Chinese character for their name in order to get rid of the evil spirits. As the demon was in danger of disappearing, it ran rampant, seeking the lives of Hae-sang Yeom (played by Jeong-se Oh), Hong-sae Lee (played by Hong-kyung), and Kyung-moon Yoon (played by Park Ji-young).
Lee Hyang-yi, the daughter of a poor fisherman in the past, was a greedy girl. One day, after being given a daenggi by a shaman, Lee Hyangi heard that she would starve the person who received the daenggi to death. She then passed the daenggi to her younger brother Mok-dan Lee (played by Park So-yi), who was envious of her daenggi.
When Lee Mok-dan was sold in place of Lee Hyang-i and his parents died due to evil spirits, Lee Hyang-i took all the money he received and headed to the shaman’s house. The shaman gave her money and let Lee Hyang-yi, who asked for her brother’s life, into the place where Lee Mok-dan was imprisoned. Later, the shaman brutally murdered Lee Mok-dan right in front of Lee Hyang-yi.

Na Byeong-hee persuaded the evil spirit, “I will save you. Everyone hates you and wants to get rid of you. I promise you once again. If I live, you will live.” But the evil spirit said to Byeong-hee Na, “You are wrong. I live and you die,” and she made her fall from her window and die.
The demon that killed Na Byung-hee said, “You know that. Everyone who wanted me was greedy. Whether it was money or power, everyone tried to use me to get it. But you were different. You wanted to live like you. That’s good. I’m still with you. I want to, can’t I?” and hugged Gu San-young.
However, Gu San-yeong refused, saying, “You go back to where you belong. Where your family is.”
The demon asked, “Since you have found out my real name, I have no choice but to disappear. Instead, I have one last request. Please find my body. Please bury my body in a good place, which is buried in a cold place where no one knows.”
But that, too, was what the demons were aiming for. At that time, Yeom Hae-sang and Lee Hong-sae found the last object along with Lee Hyang-yi’s body. Then the shadow of the demon disappeared and Gu San-yeong said, “It’s over,” arousing curiosity.
