Users increasingly want to determine at their own pace what they watch, when they watch it and how much they watch. “They are becoming less and less prescriptive about which programs they should watch,” says Tom Evens, professor of communication sciences at Ghent University. “The extensive range of streaming services fully meets those needs.”
