The silent rock band “Židrūns” has been recording a new album for some time, publishing the song “Rindās nakils” as the first fragment of it. The album will be released on October 30, when a concert dedicated to the release of the recording will take place in Riga, a place that has been kept secret for the time being.
For the rock music quartet, which has been operating under the name “Židrūna” since 2003, the events of this spring, changes in everyday life and cultural life have given many impressions to accomplish something unusual. “If the three albums so far have been a compilation of compositions that have been slowly accumulating for several years, then the songs and compositions have become fast for the fourth studio recording. The arrival of the big virus, the bunch of tragic numbers and surprising restrictions, the switching of fellow citizens and group members to the isolation mode in the spring of 2020 gave Židrūnas an enthusiastic stage of creativity. Then most of the nine songs and compositions were created, ”says the group camp.
The upcoming album is titled “Židrūns kovārņu grandchildren”, it will be released by the music publisher “I Love You Records”. The first single “Rindās nakils” is typically “hellebore”, so it will definitely appeal to this group of a wide range of admirers. “The song is free to interpret,” says “Židrūna” vocalist Klāvs K. “It’s such a strange feeling for me to think about the” Europeanisation “of the Baltic forest environment.
